Robert C. Underwood Scholarship

Mr. Underwood served as assistant vice president for our division from July 1982 to July 1997. The Robert C. Underwood Scholarship was established in 1998 in recognition of his outstanding achievements and service to Michigan State University.

Scholarship History

Originally sponsored through the generosity of MSU business partner WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems, Inc. — MSU's laundry equipment and service provider since 1984 — support of this $2,000 scholarship now continues through the university's partnership with Caldwell & Gregory.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicant must be a current student team member (employee) within the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services
Applicant has been employed within the division for two of the last three semesters
Applicant must receive the recommendation of your current supervisor
Applicant has maintained a minimum 3.2 GPA at MSU
Applicant will be returning as an MSU student team member within RHS fall semester 2026
